BRINGING A VISION TO FRUITION
18 years ago Gene started a sales division called Central Valley Commodities (CVC) with the goal to service their customers better. In the past, shavings had been bought from saw mills and sold to barns through commodities traders. These traders then had to rely on contract trucking firms to pick up and deliver the product.
We had four sets of trailers and I noticed that there was a market to sell to the consumer. The niche was having the truck and trailers to pick up the shavings at the saw mill and deliver direct to consumers.– Gene Hull
